Clients think they've struck gold when wunderkind Jacob Goldberg applies his sense of design along with his company's diligent and talented crew, to their remodeling project or addition. Goldberg, an accomplished carpenter and the son of an architect, is especially good at interpreting and improving initial designs, we're told. Despite his own artistic bent, however, he is said to be down to earth and work well with interior designers. In addition, clients say he's adept at marshalling plans past co-op boards, and dealing with management companies and special insurance situations.
Goldberg works exclusively on renovations in Gold Coast high-rises and townhouses. The company has in-house carpenters and tile and stone installers, and their work, according to clients, is of superior quality. Some clients tell us they fear that word of the Goldberg standards will spread, making the firm too busy to handle their next project. However, Goldberg already does a lot of repeat business, so much so one client quips, "I'm dating my contractor."
