Frederick Dose, an art historian, appraises fine art and antiques for insurance, estate, divorce and expert testimony. In business since 1980, Dose establishes fair market and relacement valuations for a wide array of categories including Americana, archealogical art and artifacts, books, collectibles, furniture and furnishings. Specializing in antiquities he is also one of the few professionals in the country that handles the appraisal of original cartoons. With undergraduate and graduate degrees in fine art, Dose has taught at several universities, and has co-authored a book on the subject of the appraisal and insurance of fine art and antiques.
