FR Review:
The Poulton Group takes the phrase "attention to detail"to its highest level, according to clients and industry insiders. We are told if a client wants five different hand crafted hardwood flooring designs, Poulton will happily oblige. If another longs for cabinetry and quarry stone from Italy, David Poulton hops on a plane. Industry insiders say old-world authenticity, craftsmanship and detail account for the superb quality of projects mastered by Poulton and his partner, Sharon Harvey.
The two principals and their firm practice both architecture and interior design. Nearly all of The Poulton Group's projects are in Lake Forest, and approximately 80 percent are new construction, with the firm assuming the general contracting function. The remainder of work is in renovations of significant, top-tier historic estates in the area, an expertise that this duo has also mastered. The firm undertakes just a few projects a year in order to give full attention to each. Its client-base consists primarily of well-heeled people with architectural and design savvy.
By living up to these clients' demanding expectations for 15 years, The Poulton Group has succeeded solely on referrals and a clientele that not only passes its name along to friends and acquaintances, but also uses the firm time and again. The firm charges standard architectural percentage rates or a fixed fee.
