FR Review:
Harris is an experienced builder of custom and semi-custom homes, including those in planned communities in and around Barrington. The majority of Harris Homes are conjured between the client and builder from scratch, or clients may begin with the Harris databank of home plans, which can be reproduced as shown, modified or re-worked entirely. Squarely in the luxury level, the homes start at 4,200 square feet and typically cost a million or more. Evan Harris, owner, is involved in every project, and we're told he develops a collaborative relationship with clients, takes their special considerations to heart, solves problems easily and delivers a top-quality house.
People also report that Harris chooses excellent subcontractors and that crews are not only efficient, but also nice to work with. Every project has an on-site supervisor, and project manager, Dean Snow, to oversee progress. Design is charged at a fixed fee, and construction is charged on a cost-plus-fee basis.
