FR Review:
Eiesland earns solid praise for its new custom homes and cellar-to-attic remodeling jobs. It is, for example, currently gutting and adding to a 14,000-square-foot Lake Forest estate. Owner Arvid Eiesland, clients say, is as beloved for his sense of humor as for his openness to ideas. Others commend the "perfectly beautiful" craftsmanship of his work crew. One reference compares Eiesland's carpentry and millwork to the old-school craftsmanship of great Norwegian shipbuilders. Millwork is an Eiesland specialty, handled at the Eiesland Woodwork shop (see review), where clients are invited to come and see their cabinets being produced.
A remodeling customer says the company's work progressed on time and without trauma. He especially appreciates the crew's concern for clean-up and his family's comfort and safety. During the project, workmen built a temporary kitchen for the family in the basement.
Once a client, always a client. Eiesland encourages past customers to call any time with any problem. Whenever they do, as long as five years after completion of a job and for something as simple as an askew cabinet door, Eiesland calls them right back and fixes it the same day. For all of its crafstmanship and attention, this general contractor is considered reasonably priced by people who now live within its work.
Representative Client Comments:
"Everyone we've recommended him to has called and thanked us." "I had a question at the end of the day; he had answers by 7:30 the next morning." "Came in two months early. Did not do one thing wrong." "Stood behind everything." "It's been two years and it's as if I was a current customer." "The customer is always number-one."
