FR Review:
The buzz swirling around Carey & Company comes not just from the sawblades in action at the contractor's beautiful custom renovations and additions, but also from doting architects and clients who say Carey is "a model for how to handle a client." Carey works from Hyde Park to the Gold Coast and all the way up to Lake Forest. Principal Chris Carey started the company a dozen years ago and built it to high-end prominence through condo remodels and gut renovations. Today Carey may be in a cackbone of the company's success. Although $200,000 is the minimum for a new project, once a client always a client. We're told Carey is very proactive in anticipating potential problems and possesses an artistic sensibility that often leaves architects in awe. He likes to work with owners on an open-book basis so there are never questions regarding upcharges or changes and their consequent cost. The company plans to expand into custom home-building.

Representative Client Comments:

As old executives, we appreciated that." "Honest. Ethical. Good businessman. An absolute pleasure to work with." "I'm buying an expensive apartment so I can work with him again.""Quality a 12 out of 10." "Fabulous. Did everything right." "Workers responsible, on time."
