Current, we're told, is on the right current for high-end residential lighting design and complete electrical installation, regardless of a project's size and scope. This mid-size firm serves the city's top Gold Coast and Lincoln Park neighborhoods and communities that extend north to Lake Forest. Established in 1990 by veteran electricians Jim Eberle and Glenn Maxwell, Current works with up-market new-home builders, remodeling contractors and homeowners. Maxwell, we're told, is especially knowledgeable about recessed lighting options, and the firm is able to structure cabling for computer networks and integrate multiple electrical systems that can be controlled by a single switch. Equipped with cell phones, two-way radios and its own fleet, Current takes service calls, and we are told the field staff is polite, efficient and neat.
