Overall creativity and a methodical workflow are characteristics that clients admire regarding the work of Wendy Borg. Borg takes her cues from her clients and relies heavily on their input and taste. This sort of collaboration has led Borg to create spaces that range from country kitchens to modern, zen-influenced and English Country spaces. In addition to Borg's design sense, she is also a skilled millworker and artist, practicing the art of glass blowing, weaving, sculpture and painting.
Clients praise Borg for her use of organic influences to create a calming element.
With more than 20 years experience in the industry, Borg is the sole practitioner of the firm, established in 1994. The majority of her projects are in the city, but Borg occasionally takes on projects in the Winnetka area. Most of her projects are entire homes, but clients say she remains flexible enough to take on smaller projects, working with a client room by room. Living rooms are typically in the $50,000 range. Borg works on a retainer and extremely low hourly rate and charges standard markups on products.
