Paul Berger's reputation for elegant, classical design has developed over the two decades he has offered his services to the Chicago area. The firm's projects range from small residential rehabilitations to gut renovations of some of Chicago's larger penthouse condos. The vast majority of the firm's projects take place within Chicago city limits, although the firm does occasionally take on projects in the surrounding area. Clients applaud Berger's approach to customer service, saying he is very responsive to clients' ideas—and phone calls. Berger is also said to be very accurate in estimating budgets.
Intimate, and some say "exquisite,"contemporary or traditional style are the forte of Berger and his 10-person firm. Berger also does historic preservation work and occasionally designs new, single-family development and custom homes in the surrounding suburbs. Berger holds degrees from the University of Illinois and Harvard. The firm charges standard architectural percentage rates or a fixed fee.
