New homes in Chicago's over-sized downtown lots account for a significant number of projects designed by Jack Stoneberg and Julie Gross, the principals of this small firm that has been in business since 1992. The firm also takes on smaller downtown renovations and does both new home and renovation work in the suburbs. On occasion, clients call on the firm for out-of-town projects, such as a current mountainside home in Vail. While 60 percent of Stoneberg's projects are residential, he also does commercial work.
