Using Old-World plastering techniques and natural materials, the artisans at NaturalWalls create what have been described as "rich, authentic" surfaces. In the business since 1997, principal Scott Nelson is well known in the industry for the quality of his European-style wall treatments. Decorators, architects and homeowners gush about the firm's organic materials and the way the color mixing is done from an "artist's palette" rather than from paint store swatches. References call Nelson "not just a contractor but an artist," and he has developed a solid following of both residential and commercial clients.
Nelson became intrigued by beautiful wall finishes while traveling across Europe. Over the years, he has worked to learn many of the old processes and revive their use in modern day construction. Today, working with a hand picked crew, he does "a phenomenal job" on a wide array of projects, particularly limestone and clay plaster, and french style "stuc pierre".
