Insiders tell us Luis Pirir is one of the most talented antique waxers in Southern California. Though he specializes in French polishing, Pirir will take on any kind of furniture, from the seventeenth century to modern pieces and reproductions. For polishing, touch-up and repairs, reports say Pirir can handle it all—and with the highest-quality craftsmanship.
Pirir started his own company over twenty years ago after working for an antiques showroom, where he got to know many of the area's interior decorators. Today, more than half of his work comes from designers. Clients often call Pirir to their homes to wax entire collections, which can take up to a month. The rest of his work comes from furniture collectors and showrooms, but we're told that Pirir is always willing to take on new clients and can do small projects at his shop. Pirir and his assistant offer free on-site estimates and moderate prices, making their services an even bigger draw. We hear Pirir is a pleasure to deal with and has a friendly, approachable personality.
