Robert Sinclair is distinguished by designs that incorporate the modern idioms with light and space while at once retaining an enchanting European sense of intimacy. The architect brings a discerning eye and fresh spin to traditional California styles like Spanish Colonial, Tuscan villa and Southern Mediterranean, unlocking the essence of a site, opening the space with light and "down to earth" historical context. Clients tell us Sinclair gets "incredibly keyed into the clients' needs and design dreams" and "factors in all the details well ahead of time." Also he proves "flexible" and "not ruffled" during the execution phase.
As a personality we hear Sinclair is humble and charming and rallies everyone to get along effectively as whole. A graduate of California Polytechnic College, Sinclair started his firm in 1982. The sole proprietor, he oversees a staff of four. Clients tend to be substantial government and industry leaders.
Mostly working in the Newport Beach area, where the firm has opened a new office, Sinclair has been commissioned from San Francisco to San Diego.
