FR Review:
Insiders know the charming and well-spoken Michael D'Angelo as an institution in the hardwood flooring industry. Even in a crowd of amazing companies, D'Angelo's firm is a standout. Since establishing his business in 1987, D'Angelo has become a favorite among celebrity and other high-end residential clients from Newport to Santa Barbara, and as far away as New York, Denver, Washington and London. Clients praise this personable craftsman and rave about his unique floors.
The firm manufactures exquisite designs and inlays in its own factory. A loyal nine-member crew will also repair, restore and perform some upkeep, but only on D'Angelo floors. D'Angelo's floors are custom-designed to fit their spaces and have a furniture-quality finish. Workmen are said to be prompt and efficient.
Some clients describe D'Angelo's floors as "artwork." As with a fine work of art, prices are high, but sources say the superb floors are worth it; pricing is per square foot, with a 1,500 square foot minimum. Head over to the showroom—by appointment only—and you may notice a plaque on the wall from the National Wood Flooring Association awarding this licensed, bonded and insured company Floor of the Year.
Representative Client Comments:
"The best floor man ever!" "He's very expensive, but quality is there." "Works with the most unusual pieces of wood. Beautiful designs." "A real Old-World craftsman."
