FR Review:
Offering a calm, appealing aesthetic, Molly Isaksen is finding a harmonious balance for her clients. In her capable hands, the traditional will take on a more streamlined view and the modern a warmer hue, but all are distinguished in their comfortable ease. Clients are extremely fond of Isaksen, as she guides them through the design process and doesn't stop until every last detail is finalized.
With a background in fashion design, Isaksen was pulled into interior design when her movie-star fashion clients asked for help at home. The firm was officially established in 1998, and there are currently two assistants working on about four projects. Clients are often established professionals in the entertainment and corporate world, who are effusive about the personal attention received from Isaksen. Despite the short life of the firm, one client is already on a third project. Isaksen is also said to have a special sensitivity to family living.
Budgets tend to evolve with fabric choices from the very reasonable to reasonably high. There is either a flat design fee or standard hourlies taken for design conception. Product sees a lower markup. Isaksen is known for her excellent attention to detail, going well beyond the normal scope, including designing customized phone pads and stationery and choosing the books in the library. Similarly, Isaksen will assist with client entertainment, providing menus, flowers and calligraphy place cards.
