FR Review:
Mac users are notoriously loyal to their brand and attached to their computers, and when their beloved machines crash, they want an expert, pronto. For many in Los Angeles that expert is MacRescue, a twenty-year-old firm that runs "like a well-oiled machine." Given the proximity to Tinseltown, it's not surprising to learn that MacRescue's practice emphasizes graphic design system support, including pre-press support, Quicktime support, and audio-visual system support. As a certified member of the Apple Consultants Network, MacRescue has access to the Apple Developers resources and support database.

Owner Steve Leebove earns high marks for giving personalized attention to each and every project, from picking out the right computer to synching any device. MacRescue services both OS9 and OSX systems, including industrial-level support for X-Serve installations. The company tends to take on larger, more complex residential and commercial projects and works with many LA celebs.

As the name suggests, MacRescue deals exclusively with Mac computers and offers 24-hour service. All fees are spelled out up front. But before you request the services of Leebove and his small staff at 3 a.m. while trying to get your e-mail, don't forget his rates double after 10 PM. MacRescue also has a travel charge that kicks in after the first ten miles.
