Contempo Floor is the anti-boutique: the place to go for high-end one-stop shopping. Founded in 1976 by brothers Mark and David Haloossim, the firm sells, installs, repairs and custom-designs wood, vinyl, linoleum, laminate, cork, rubber, tile, marble and granite floors, along with wall-to-wall carpeting. Contempo also deals in upholstery, drapery and window treatments. The firm is a member of the NWFA, the Western Floor Covering Association and the International Design Guild.
Contempo's impressive showroom is open to the public. With a sales force of 14 and 25 service technicians Contempo is able to serve many residential and commercial clients, most of them throughout Southern California with some out-of-state customers. Licensed, bonded and insured, Haloossim and his team work with architects, designers and contractors or directly with homeowners. Pricing is usually per square foot and estimates are free.
