We hear this small upholstery and drapery shop is among the best in its class. Insiders say owner Jaime Chan lovingly tends to fine antiques, traditional pieces, modern and contemporary furniture, and draperies. Catering to the trade, Best Class's work can be found in high-end homes from Beverly Hills to San Francisco to Seattle.
The self-taught Chan founded Best Class in 1996 with a focus on personalized service. Still working with a staff of just two, Chan gives full attention to each piece and reportedly takes his craft very seriously: he will only deliver merchandise when it's perfect (usually about four to six weeks). Accustomed to working with all types of fabric, Chan especially likes to create in chenille, leather and silk. The final product is said to be well priced and "exceptionally handsome."
