FR Review:
Selling, cleaning and restoring Persian, Aubusson, Indian, Oriental and Tibetan area rugs is a family affair for Zabi Ahmadi and his five brothers, second-generation rug tradesmen from Afghanistan. Together, they also own a manufacturing company in Afghanistan that produces the fine rugs for which their country is known, in customized original and antique designs. The company sells an extensive collection of antique and modern area rugs, tapestries, kilims and needlepoints, both in Afghanistan and Los Angeles. Their showroom, a popular destination for many LA decorators, is open to the public.

Insiders say Ahmadi's workmen are quiet and efficient, and that the company's rug selection is among the best in the city. Though Amadi Carpets primarily serves residential and commercial clients in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Bel Air and San Diego, it has been known to do installations and repairs as far away as New York and Pittsburgh. Pricing is by the square foot with free estimates, pickup, delivery and moving of furniture—when necessary. When it comes to luxurious, finely woven Afghan rugs, Ahmadi is at the top of insiders' lists.

Representative Client Comments:
"Splendid work ethic." "Very good knowledge of carpets." "Always delivers on time. Reliable." "Friendly and personable." "Pleasant and easy to work with." "Beautiful custom work."
