FR Review:
One of Los Angeles's oldest purveyors of fine rugs, Decorative Carpets has been a preferred source for decorators, dealers, hoteliers and discriminating private clients for 50 years. Founded by Lou Sugarman, the company's tradition of excellence is now maintained by his son George, who studied Carpet Technology and Design at Kidderminster College in England.
Though Decorative Carpets sells and installs area rugs, its real forte is custom designing them. The company's showroom features a wide selection of Sugarman's creations, all of which are hand-tufted in Thailand. Licensed, bonded and insured, this company of twenty has customers in Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Malibu, Pasadena—and in all corners of the globe. Commercial clients include many of the highest of the high-end: The Four Seasons, The Peninsula, Dior and Shutters on the Beach, to name a few. Pricing is generally per square foot, and while there is no minimum charge for a project, there is an extra fee for pickup and delivery.
Everything at Decorative Carpets is top of the line—including its knowledgeable, professional, courteous customer service. Or should we say, almost everything. Prices are considered quite reasonable, which makes clients consider Decorative's beautiful custom rugs an extremely good deal.
Representative Client Comments:
"They stand behind their work. Knowledgeable about the market and what's out there." "They work to please. Accommodating." "Not stingy on samples." "Have been using them for years. We are extremely comfortable with them. They won't let us down."
