These visionaries bill themselves as the "complete solution" for clients' home electronics systems, and their demanding customers agree. Since 1990 principals Mark Hoffenberg and Bob Walpert have developed Audiovisions into an industry standard, now boasting a staff of 55, including 30 installers. They regularly send employees to CEDIA training sessions to keep them current with the latest technologies.
Audiovisions designs custom home theaters, lighting, climate control and telephone systems. The firm will also perform electronic integration to control all of a home's low-voltage systems. Most of its residential work is centered in LA, Orange and Marin counties. About half of the company's roughly 130 annual projects come from contractors and designers. This high-powered firm also handles the A/V systems in Virgin Megastores around the country. Audiovisions annually ranks in the top ten of CE Pro's top-50 list and has also been named dealer of the year by the CEDIA trade organization.
The average project carries a budget of $80,000 to $100,000, but we're told the firm has installed much pricier systems. All work is covered by a one-year parts and labor warranty. Clients insist you can't do better than Audiovisions if you're looking for up-to-the-minute A/V and other home electronic systems.
