FR Review:
It's no surprise that Tamas Varadi's family was famous in Hungary for its upholstery creations–the work speaks for itself. Varadi Decorator & Upholstery builds custom upholstered furniture in the European tradition, French and English drawing room style. To the delight of its high-end residential and commercial clients in Manhattan, Varadi's other forte is French pleated drapes, along with Roman, Austrian and balloon shades. Trade professionals note that, "Varadi works well to make the vision a reality."

Considered an "upholstery master" by some clients, Varadi has 54 years experience in the business, learning the trade at age 6. After arriving in the United States, Varadi worked at the renowned upholstery firm Baron, before striking out on his own in 1992. Celebrities and institutions such as the Union Club turn to Varadi for a beautifully realized finished product. The eight-way tied coil springs and exquisite hand finishes in its custom built sofas justify the upper-tier prices.

Representative Client Comments:
"I trust his judgment and he often surpasses expectations." "Varadi's upholstery work is outstanding, and its hard to find someone better than him." "No question about it, knows upholstery inside and out." "Very prompt and easy to work with." "He works hard to please his customer." "Lovely work and a nice guy."
