Santa Cruz Designs is known for creating custom-made window treatments, pillows and bedding for the trade. Owner Carlos Hurtado's skilled team also specializes in wall upholstery and custom hardware and has recently added furniture upholstery and re-upholstery to their repertoire. Reports indicate that this firm works best when in close communication with the decorator or designer.
This family-owned gem has been in the drapery/upholstery business for over 25 years. Many of their clients have been with them since they hung up their shingle, many of them top designers featured on the AD 100. Loyal fans tell us they like the personalized service and the fact that Santa Cruz will come back a year later (at no charge) to fix anything that goes awry. Prices are very good and we hear that work takes about four to six weeks.
