FR Review:
Turpin-Levin Construction recently came full circle: with 50 years of family-firm construction, they are now sometimes called in to renovate custom homes they built for the current owner's parents. This firm specializes in custom residential construction "of enduring quality." Beyond Turpin Levin's noteworthy high-end residential work, the firm's far-reaching skills have been mined for hotels, restaurants, recording studios, country clubs and corporate offices, among other structures. Projects usually require six months of preconstruction. Average projects are budgeted above $750,000 and are located in West LA and the San Fernando Valley.
The firm remains selective about its projects, signing on to only about five per year. The reason, we hear, is so that top-liners Mark Turpin and Moshe Levin stay actively involved with every job. One or the other acts as the point person, splitting his efforts between owner and architect. From their staff of twenty, a full-time super and general laborer are dispatched to each site. Turpin Levin expects clients to approach the firm with an architect on board and a strong set of plans in hand.
Representative Client Comments:
"Ultra-personalized. I use them repeatedly. As good as others, but not as large." "Really good subs. Excellent foreman. The job went quite smoothly. It was the only job I can remember where the contractor was mutually respected." "For traditional styles, they're your GC." "Always on time." "Not cheap but very professional."
