When they need a firm to wire ground-up construction, many of the city's architects turn to Brentwood. Founded in 1953, Brentwood is a large electrical and lighting design company specializing in residential low-voltage installation. Owner Bruce Sobel and his team of 50 electricians ply their trade up and down the coastline of Los Angeles County. Their service/remodel work consists of small retrofit jobs and landscape lighting and is available to anyone. More often than not, jobs come from a referral from a satisfied client or a returning, quality-minded general contractor.
In addition to his electricians, Sobel employs a lighting design staff and his own in-house engineer. Fluent in Lutron and Vantage technology, the firm installs many low-voltage switching systems. We hear that Brentwood's prices might be steeper than some competitors, but clients say it's only because they are near the very peak of their craft.
