This design/build firm specializes in custom remodeling and takes a "fully integrated" approach to the construction process. Blessed with the resources and experience of a large firm, Custom Design & Construction is also said to take a "genuine interest" in its clients, just like a small firm would. (The company even offers an in-house financing program to work with limited budgets.) Sources say Custom delivers a well-built product on a reasonable budget, time and again.
CD&C focuses on remodels and additions, from bathrooms to whole-house guts. The firm's work stretches from Palos Verdes to West LA, covering both established communities and smaller niche markets. Led by Bill Simone (who has two degrees in architecture) and Randy Ricciotti, this design-oriented firm is praised for being "courteous, friendly and extremely competent." The firm has a standard operating procedure for every aspect of the business, keeping "everything executed and delivered in a professional manner," clients say. CD&C was selected by Professional Remodeler Magazine as 2003 Benchmark Market Leader.
Design fees are 1-2% of the project budget, with construction contracts fixed price. The firm provides in-house financing and we hear the company works well within the constraints of a budget, especially for remodels.
