FR Review:
The select group of clients who get the opportunity to work with iconoclast architect Eric Owen Moss know it's all about his signature style and singular vision. His widely published residential designs are an alchemy of jutting angles and Caligarian geometric shapes set in glass, steel and concrete, at once forward-thinking and highly sculptural.

Moss holds two Master of Architecture degrees—one from UC Berkeley and the other from Harvard. He founded the firm in 1973 and has been a professor at SCI-Arc for nearly as long. He is now serving as director of the esteemed institution—despite his long-held reputation as a counter-cultural enfant terrible.

Sources tell us this mid-sized firm works in a loft-like space and takes a communal approach to architecture, continuously exchanging and developing design ideas on projects budgeted from a few thousand to tens of millions of dollars. While not everything on paper is ultimately realized, we're told that Moss mounts his architectural challenges with creative site placement and an eye on budgetary constraints.

Representative Client Comments:
"Eric has a strong profile and only works for very special, exclusive clients." "It's his way or the highway. He has a specific style and is tireless in pursuit of the next great architectural idea." "You pay for a masterpiece and get a masterpiece."
