Stephen Block's popular container and interior plant design company is housed in a dazzling 10,000 square foot showroom stocked to the ceiling with more than 1,000 antique containers. Called a must-see by insiders, Inner Garden's warehouse also includes orchids, interior and exterior plants, and specimen trees.
Block's fancy for foliage took root while he was studying horticulture at the University of Florida. He founded Inner Gardens in 1990, and now has 45 employees and an unbeatable reputation among those in the know. Though Block specializes in interior plant design, he also tackles the outer garden—often integrating containers into poolside or patio designs. The firm offers a free consultation to serious prospective clients, charges a flat fee for design and bills hourly for installation.
