FR Review:
Raised in the South and trained at the old-line powerhouse firm of Irvine and Fleming, Jason Bell executes traditional work with panache, be it English country or stately Georgian. He is also frequently called on by young couples to combine two distinct sensibilities into one home. This calls for tricky footwork - how to make his Bauhaus desk fit in with her Victorian four-poster, without compromising the overall design. Though the materials can be a hodgepodge, references say the results are anything but. Specifically, clients praise Bell's ability to achieve a harmonious, unified look that is artful but not over-designed. They also single out his exemplary project management skills, saying, "Jason knows how to make things happen."

Bell studied interior design at the University of Alabama before moving to New York and working for Irvine and Fleming. He stayed there for seven years, was named partner, and continued on for three more before striking out on his own. Currently he fields a staff of six, working on projects throughout Manhattan and Connecticut. The firm has also shipped its design work overseas, to relocated clients as far afield as London and Geneva. Generally, Bell charges an upfront design fee and retail on product. Clients report that while his prices are high, the final product is always gorgeous, comfortable, and distinct.

Representative Client Comments:
"Traditional with a modern edge." "I gave Jason a warehouse with furniture stacked twenty feet high, and he sorted out what to use beautifully." "Jason is an absolute professional, but he still manages to have a lot of fun." "Jason was great at handling 'curveballs.' A real problem solver." "He's relatively new to the game, but he's got a lot of tricks up his sleeve already." "The billing process went exactly as we expected." "He turned a Park Avenue wreck into a little jewel." "Jason took the furnishings from two different homes and the work of another designer and managed to combine them seamlessly." "He didn't show us fabrics that were out of our price range." "He doesn't have an 'in-your-face' New York attitude."
