With a strong traditional base that is at once familiar and appreciated by clients, Debbie Christman Stuart offers a "warmer shade of the expected." Making an effort to take customers' clues, all feel that they have achieved something special and individual. European and American reproductions are intermingled with brass accents, botanical prints and ribboned mirrors.
Building on her family trade, Christman Stuart opened the business in 1974. About five projects are taken on at once, mostly with regional supporters looking for a low-key approach. Some have been clients for over twenty years and are on their third project with the firm. Approachable, the firm will take on anything from a sofa to consulting on new construction.
