Lulu Kwiatkowski's contrasting styles of geometric and floral designs result from an amalgamation of her studies, travels and ability to embrace both chaos and control. After graduating from Parson's School of Design with a degree in interior design, Kwiatkowski studied trompe l'oeil at IPEDEC in Paris and then traveled throughout Europe under the apprenticeship of Italian trompe l'oeil artist Francesco Gurnari. Kwiatkowski began her own business seven years ago and since then has expanded it to include a line of hand-painted fabrics of her own design. Whether she's designing a refined pattern of shaded squares that evokes the feeling of light penetrating through the wall or a chaotic mix of colorful flowers, paisleys and squiggles, we hear that Kwiatkowski's use of color, light and style can enliven almost any surface.
