Offering a rich melange of the elegantly traditional and the unexpected, Jackie Cutler understands her community. Raised in Scarsdale with a loyal following there, New York City and beyond, Cutler deftly composes rooms that are both luxuriously formal and livably comfortable. Leopard-print velvet on Louis XVI chairs and a red toile kitchen are beguiling amongst the more neutral counterpoints in form. And she gets it all done on time according to delighted references.
Cutler graduated from Syracuse with a dual major in architecture and design. Working at a commercial architecture firm for several years, friends and peers began to ask for help on their residences and a career was born. Formerly opening shop in 1988, Cutler works with two staff members on about ten projects at a time, which can start as small as one room. Cutler starts with the architecture and takes it from there.
With a practical sense of the budget and family life, Cutler knows that good design is knowing when to stop and let the personality of the client shine in their own home. Standard hourlies are charged for architectural consultations and a Standard markup on product.
