FR Review:
Known best for her "ability to give buildings character that otherwise would have none" and a high level of customer service, Carol J.Weissman Kurth has carved out a successful niche in the Bedford area. Kurth's office has recently seen an influx of traditional renovations with classic New England detailing of Shingle style, neoclassical and Tudor homes. She's also noted for her keen ability to sprout homes from "the steepest, craziest sites." The talented, fourteen-person firm is noted for its sensitive detailing of interior finishes, cabinetry and other built-ins.
Kurth earned a Bachelor of Architecture from City College of New York, where she also spent five years on staff teaching architecture. The firm, which was established in 1995, takes on about ten to fifteen custom residential projects and "renovation transformations" each year in addition to collaborating with developers on high-end residential communities. Her custom projects range from $250,000 renovations to $6 million new single-family homes.
While most of the firm's work takes place in Westchester, Kurth has completed projects across New England and is about to embark on work in the Virgin Islands. Kurth herself has a deep understanding of the construction industry through her collaborations with developers and brings her affinity for site meetings and job inspections to her clients. The firm charges a standard percentage of overall construction costs.

"Has an amazing perspective on life--she's very down to earth." "As efficient as can be, and has an extremely organized office and practice." "Easy to warm up to." "She's got a very keen aesthetic...she's constantly changing and is influenced by everything going on around her, as well as her client's design sensibility."
