Not only efficient and organized, but “some of the nicest people around,” is what many clients say about the staff at Fabra-Cleen, who repair and clean area rugs, carpets, upholstery, fabric headboards, fabric walls and drapery. Not only that, but they are very reasonably priced compared to the competition. The company also offers post-construction cleanup and has been known to handle some minor repairs on carpets and rugs. More and more clients are going to Fabra-Cleen for its impressive marble and stone polishing and ceramic tile and grout cleaning as well.
Established in 1949 by Samuel Kornet, the fi rm is now managed by his son Brian. Fabra-Cleen serves both residential and commercial clients in Manhattan, parts of the regional area, the Hamptons and Westchester County. Cleaning is done on location or at the company’s facilities. In either case, pickup and delivery are free. Sources tell us Fabra-Cleen prides itself on meticulous attention to detail and will move furniture for free in order to clean under it, rather than around it. Pricing is per square foot (varying with each material) and presented in a free estimate after thorough
inspection. Minimums for area rugs, carpets, and upholstery start at $150, and marble, tile and stone range anywhere from $150 to well beyond.
