FR Review:
Sources tell us Allan Greenberg's name alone "instantly recalls images of classic New England architecture." The firm's eight annual residential projects are evenly split between large-scale renovations and new-home construction. In addition to sprawling classical estates, Greenberg designs working traditional farms, stables, greenhouses and barns. Working strictly within a classical context, Greenberg and his staff will take on projects with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $20 million. We're told, however, that the firm prefers to take on quaint (richly detailed) homes.
Greenberg established this firm of 25 in 1960 and remains the sole principal. His fifty-plus years in the business puts discriminating clients at ease because "he has a very rational and thorough process that's as tight as a drum." The firm charges a higher fee based on hourly costs or a percentage of overall construction costs.
Representative Client Comments:
"When you talk about fine architecture in and around southern Connecticut, you would be remiss to leave out Allan's name."
