Gwathmey, a Fulbright scholar, graduated in 1962 from Yale with a master's degree in architecture and became a Fellow of the AIA in 1981. Siegel is a graduate of Pratt and Harvard, became a Fellow in 1991 and remains active in the Pratt community. This partnership was founded in 1967 and both architects have taught at some of the country's most prestigious universities.
