Clients return to this "very versatile" architect for well-detailed and well-executed construction. Kaehler/Moore's pragmatist style adroitly integrates interiors and exteriors that are responsive to site conditions, social context and the client/project-team collaboration. Sources tell us the firm integrates old furniture and fixtures into new construction with fabulous results, and clients rave about the firm's architectural interiors. While schools and libraries count among this firm's institutional work, the tide of its efforts flows mostly to residential new construction in the regional area.
Although the firm works across the US, Kaehler Moore is known as one of the most respected and sought-after firms in the Westchester/Fairfield area. Principals Joeb Moore and Laura Kaehler are known to take time and pride in servicing clients who tell us the partners "don't make you feel stupid or silly for your ideas." Each partner oversees their own architecture and interior projects working with a team of the company's thirteen on-hand architects and two assistants. Kaehler and Moore have increasingly turned their attention to the interior development of their work, offering full interior and landscape design services in addition to architectural design. In fact, Moore is currently working on two projects for which he plays the role of interior designer and architect.
Moore received his Bachelor of Arts and an Master of Architecture from Clemson University. He laster attended Yale's MED program in architectural theory. He is now Assistant Director and Adjunct Professor of architecture at Columbia University. Kaehler holds a Bachelor of Architecture from RPI. The firm offers its services for either a percentage of construction sliding on the upper end of the scale, especially for renovations, or at an hourly rate that is often the choice for clients with no cap of fees.
