FR Review:
Since 1988, Florence Boogaerts was the landscape designer at Sprainbrook Nursery in Scarsdale, New York, where she designed and supervised the installation of gardens and landscapes. In the spring of 2003 Boogaerts started her own business working for clients, primarily in Westchester and Connecticut, though she does some work in Manhattan. According to clients, Boogaerts strives to create maintainable and beautiful landscapes. "I like it when clients have something specific in mind. Then, I can give it to them in a tasteful, practical manner," Boogaerts says. While she does not offer long-term maintenance, clients have been thrilled with her creations.
Boogaerts received her certificate in landscape design from the New York Botanical Garden, where she has lectured since 1994. In addition to a flat design fee, Boogaerts charges an hourly fee that ranges from $85 per hour to $150 per hour. Sources comment on her warmth, dry wit and intelligence, and call her designs and installations "appropriate" and "exactly what I hoped for."
