FR Review:
References agree that Ronnee Barnett is a woman dedicated to her craft and passionate about her work. Barnett started her own textile restoration business in 1978 after deciding to give up psychology because she “had an intense desire to weave.” She restores, conserves, cleans, re-weaves and repairs rare antique area rugs, needlepoints, tapestries and textiles. She also works part time for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she restores and mounts medieval textiles.

The firm does business mostly in Manhattan, but has clients from all over the country. This one-woman company works with museums, decorators, dealers, private collectors and homeowners. We are told Barnett believes in in-depth client interviews to discuss the project in advance and to understand her customers’ specifications. Barnett also educates clients in the proper way to care for their priceless treasures. Sources consider her work museum-quality and find her incredibly professional, trustworthy and communicative. Her many fans say she takes her time, does the job right and treats each piece like a work of art.

Representative Client Comments:
“She is the best. Such a find.” “Artistic, capable and businesslike.” “Can’t tell it was repaired. Great workmanship.” “Fair, honest, professional.” “A joy to work with.” “She examines the problem with intelligence and insight.” “I would never hire anyone else.”
