FR Review:
Pleasing her classically traditional clientele with a comfortable mix of clean lines, reproduction favorites and composed accessories, Robin McGarry serves the region well. Open spaces are left uncluttered and upholstered pieces remain unadorned, allowing the light and architecture to speak for itself. Glass and chrome can juxtapose straight-edged sofas with classic oriental rugs grounding the space or more historic lines can be favored, given the client's interests.
Drawing on her 25+ years as a designer, McGarry is known to be highly professional. After working for several years at Ferry-Hayes in Atlanta on contract and residential projects, McGarry established her own shop in Weston in 1995. Lots of work is done on a room-by-room, evolving process. Process is said to be a strength with a specific four-phase design approach. She also receives kudos for a "well-run office and consistently strong subs."
McGarry has a clear and precise contract in which a Reasonable hourly fee is charged for all designer hours and a Lower percentage product commission. There is an up-front applicable retainer and oversight fees. ASID. NCIDQ.
