FR Review:
Fans rave that Pierre Finkelstein of Grand Illusion produces “extraordinarily realistic” finishes using original 18th- and 19th-century techniques. In business since 1986, his small firm focuses on very high-end residential and museum decorative painting and finishes, and also creates murals.
Finkelstein comes to the decorative painting world with an impressive background, including training at the Van Der Kellen Painting Institute in Brussels. Working with some of the top decorators and designers, the firm’s private client list has its share of instantly recognizable names. Patrons consider Finkelstein’s work outstanding, and while we hear it can cost a pretty penny, there’s no doubt about its remarkable quality.
Representative Client Comments:
“Brilliant–all the masters rolled into one!” “The best painter of faux bois in the world!” “Best of the best.” “The only issue is how to get on his dance card.” “No attitude and a joy to be around.” “Don’t expect to get by on the cheap.” “Inspiring to be around his work. It brings back the past.” “Charming and wonderful to work with.”
