Lauded as a true artist, Yvonne Verwer has been doing decorative painting and murals for New Yorkers since 1986. While the firm does all kinds of specialty finishes including glazes, gilding, stenciling, plaster effects and faux finishes, it’s Verwer’s murals that especially charm clients. These pieces, described as “whimsical,” “fanciful” and “inspiring,” are applied on canvas and on walls.
Verwer, who is from Holland, holds an MFA from the Royal Academy of Fine Art in the Hague. She creates contemporary pieces of her own design or will execute any style a client prefers, including classical and trompe l’oeil. References report she has an extensive planning process designed to keep the customer involved at every stage of the project, and is a patient and understanding collaborator.
