A one-man operation, Edward Micca keeps tight control of his projects from start to finish, making it a priority to do all of his own prep work. Creating interesting “leather” walls, tinted and colored plasters, wood graining and glazes as well as pearlized finishes, Micca will work with any paintable surface, even cabinetry and furniture. He has also been known to tackle trompe l’oeil projects with finesse.
A favorite among professionals, the “charming” and low-key Micca has been creating his decorative finishes in New York and farther afield (in the United States and Europe) for more than 30 years. Micca’s grandfather worked with a brush, so it was natural he picked up painting. Clients tell us his work rivals some of the best in the field. We are told Micca is “extremely popular” and only takes on two projects at once, hiring assistants as he needs them. Given the high-quality work he produces, clients are pleasantly surprised by the modest costs.
