Wadia Associates is noted for its broad range of expertise in all languages of traditional design--from American to English to French vernaculars. Clients frequently call on Dinyar Wadia and his team to create Victorian, Georgian, Tudor and Provincial styles of architecture. Wadia is personally, involved in each project, from conceptual design to "the last nail hammered." Clients say Wadia has unmatched sources here and abroad, and a keen ability to select materials that are full and rich, yet cost effective through the sources. We are told when you ink a contract with Wadia Associates, you truly get "soup to nuts" services, including interior design and building services upon request. Wadia Associates will even draw all custom tiles, moldings, cabinetry and libraries.
Dinyar Wadia received his architectural education in his native India and also earned a Master of Architecture from Columbia. He established the firm in 1975. Wadia keeps a staff of just seven in order to retain the "name on the door" philosophy, with personalized client relations. He attends just about every meeting personally and sees the project through construction. The firm works with an established clientele, who seek to turn their homes into homesteads for future generations--accepting two or three projects each year with budgets averaging from $5 million to $7 million.
All of the firm's work is residential and takes place in locales such as New Canaan, Greenwich, Darien, Norwalk and New Castle. Interior design services are also available independent of its architecture work. The firm charges a higher fee based on a percentage of overall construction costs, but we're told this includes all necessary outside engineers and much of the interior design.
