FR Review:
One of the oldest and most well respected landscaping firms in the U.S., Innocenti & Webel boasts a resume that includes the American Wing of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, the gardens for the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach, the Blair House gardens in Washington D.C. and the Augusta National Golf Club. Richard K. Webel, a graduate of the Harvard School of Landscape Architecture, founded the design-only firm in 1931 and worked beneath its banner until he was 94 years old, at which time he passed the reins to his son, Richard C. Webel.
The firm maintains offices in New York, South Carolina and Hobe Sound, Florida. Its Florida office is run by Robert “Bert” Krebs, Jr., who joined the firm in 1994 and who, according to clients, is courteous, conscientious and professional. Krebs leads a staff of four, including three architects, one draftsman and one administrative assistant. Although the firm's commercial and institutional projects attract more attention, the majority of its work in Florida is residential, ranging geographically from Jupiter Island--where clients have ranked them the “number one landscaping firm”--to Delray Beach.
Innocenti & Webel's can handle up to 25 projects at a time and finishes approximately the same amount annually. In terms of their fee structure, the design portion costs between $125–$250 per hour with an additional fifteen percent on the cost of construction. The firm handles all contractor invoices, processing them through the company office, protecting the clients’ investment.
Representative Client Comments:
"Bert and his team are a delight to work with." "There is no one better than Innocenti & Webel." "They are incredibly hands-on." "People beg to have them for their work." "By far the leading landscape architecture firm in the area."
