For the last thirty years, Scott Lewis’ Gardening & Trimming has been The Swiss Army Knife of Palm Beach landscaping. Although the firm does not do any design work, it will coordinate and take full responsibility for all exterior services of a home, including installation, maintenance, pest control, irrigation and seasonal alterations--then guarantee 24-hour turnaround service for any issues that may arise. The company also has access to its own nursery, which houses some particularly rare and difficult-to-procure plant materials.
Lewis’ team, which clients describe as “incredibly resourceful, courteous and responsive,” consists of thirty employees, including three supervisors. Every member of the staff is fingerprinted, I.D.’d and background checked by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Palm Beach Police Department--a great comfort to the firm’s elite clientele, which includes such names as The Society of the Four Arts. In addition, the company maintains “Drug Free Workplace” status, routinely subjecting their employees to tests.
