FR Review:
Clients and colleagues alike are struck by the sheer manpower that Botanica Landscaping has at its command. The firm, which acquired the local standby Nical of Palm Beach in December 2006, is owned by Ken Lieber and operated by former Nical principal Patrick Bilton. Botanica is a "true" landscaping firm, focusing on installation, maintenance, irrigation, and tree and hedge trimming, and avoiding work with palms and hardscapes. The company's usual domain encompasses Jupiter Island to Boca Raton, including many of the “premier properties,” but it occasionally extends as far south as Miami.
Bilton marshals approximately 100 employees, including five supervisors, one nursery supervisor, twelve crews (five maintenance, three landscaping, three trimming and pruning, one irrigation) and a bevy of estate gardeners. In addition to its vast numbers, the firm also has access to a nine-acre nursery for materials. The company’s fees vary, based on both time and employee: foremen, trimmers and pruners get $35 per hour; laborers, $25.
The bottom line? Botanica has the men and machinery to handle any size job you throw at them, from large-scale endeavors to the most facile garden maintenance tasks.
Representative Client Comments:
"I hear many rumblings about their expensive fees, but they're never released from their contracts, an amazing fact!" "They have a lot of man power." "Patrick is very accessible and a pleasure to work with, as are [Botanica's] crews."
