FR Review:
Founded in 1974 as a performance custom audio shop, Sound Components initially built its reputation as a Mecca for audiophiles. To this day, the company is lauded for its precise, high-caliber stereo systems. However, the firm has since expanded into a full-service integration company, designing and installing home theaters, distributed audio setups and lighting controls. Led by president Mark Goldman (described by clients as "smart and extremely hands-on"), an expert staff of thirty handles all projects directly, with no outsourcing or subcontracting. Sources commend the technology but lavish more praise on the programming and ease of use, saying that Sound Components is able to design a system that fits their needs perfectly - be it easy taping of Dolphins games or a stereo system that "hides" in the walls to please a finicky decorator.
Sound Components works almost exclusively in the Miami area, with a stated goal of "no project too small." Clients say the prices are certainly high, but level with other companies of the same caliber. Ultimately, sources stress that Sound Components is a good bet for any kind of project, and if you're an audiophile, it's the only bet.
Representative Client Comments:
"Mark Goldman and Bill Petters are best high end audio specialists in the state of Florida." "Their history is audio but their future is audio and video." "I have a Ferrari, but I consider my home theater to be my show-off piece." "I saw a lot of proposals. Sound Component's wasn't the cheapest, but it had the most details. I hired them on the spot." "Same day service, especially if it's an emergency." "They made me happy, they made my kids happy, they made my decorator happy, even my housekeeper. Wouldn't recommend anyone else."
