Over the course of her career, she has earned a slew of certifications from the AAA and ASA (the two leading appraisal organizations), but sources say that her most valuable qualifications come from her time hacking through the jungle of America’s estate sales as an appraiser for the liquidation company NCL. This means, sources say, that Miller has already seen almost anything the market could throw at her. Indeed, her list of specialties is quite long, encompassing both the pedestrian (furniture, decorative art) and the unusual (light fixtures, textiles). References caution that bringing in a Monet might be out of line but rate Miller’s instincts for antiques and estate sale fares as top notch.
