FR Review:
Nordic receives a flurry of four-star reviews from the coolest names in the industry. A general contractor and construction management firm specializing in custom residential construction in Manhattan, the Hamptons, Westchester and Greenwich, Nordic is known for “well-organized, accurate scheduling” and a “commitment to the work equal to that of the designer and architect.” Nordic’s impressive 15,000-square-foot millwork facility, a tremendous woodworking resource, is located in Mount Vernon, New York.
Principals Thor Magnus and Eamonn Ryan have been working together since 1992. Reports indicate that Magnus and Ryan “adopt the client’s perspective” and show “outstanding judgment” throughout the process. We hear “attention to detail is unsurpassed” and paperwork is “prepared like clockwork,” all at a cost below that of comparable builders. Sources tell us that subcontracts have been with Nordic since the beginning and are “extremely proud of the work they achieve.” Catering only to a residential clientele, Nordic handles six to eight major projects per year, with prices at $350 to $600 per square foot and totals averaging $1million - $2 million.
Representative Client Comments:
“When you work with Nordic you feel like you are working with a first-rate team. Per- sonalities and big egos are left at home.” “Nordic is my first choice for every project in Manhattan and Fairfield. Among the best I’ve worked with anywhere in the country.” “They did everything right. Fast, professional and accurate.” “The principals at Nordic are gentlemen. Client-oriented problem solvers.” “A building experience we would definitely repeat.” “They insist on the highest quality work but are also flexible.” “I would hire Nordic in a flash.”
